Richard Rubin has broad experience across many legal areas. During his over two-decade career at AT&T, Rich served as the chief counsel for several business and sales units. During that time, he drafted, reviewed and negotiated complex contracts and licenses for the sale of hundreds of millions of dollars of sophisticated equipment and software, as well as highly detailed contracts for the purchase of technical services and other commercial agreements. He also served as AT&T's chief consumer services marketing counsel, supporting a $350 million annual marketing budget with legal and practical advice on advertising, marketing, contract, intellectual property, antitrust and regulatory laws. Rich regularly participated in developing internal and external policies supporting corporate requirements on key legal and regulatory issues and frequently advocated company positions to government officials. He also participated in significant mergers and acquisitions, and has many years' experience with civil and regulatory litigation, including antitrust, mass tort, insurance and complex regulatory matters. Before joining AT&T, he was a senior associate at a leading New York litigation firm. Rich is a cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School and received his undergraduate degree with high distinction from the University of Rochester. |
