Jason Gratt handles litigation, insurance and education law matters. 

Jason’s litigation experience includes such matters as representing commercial clients against claims of products liability and design defects, construction defects, and negligent maintenance, as well as premises liability claims.  Jason is not only a successful litigator, but also a counselor and problem solver.  He regularly advises clients on how to avoid or minimize litigation risk.  For example, Jason has developed maintenance protocols for such diverse clients as elevator maintenance companies and commercial landowners.

Jason represents clients in insurance industry matters, where he has extensive and successful experience litigating coverage issues and providing insurance coverage counseling advice.  He also handles bad faith and unfair claims practices litigation.

The representation of local boards of education is another part of Jason’s practice.  His experience in education law includes representing boards of education in collective bargaining negotiations, special education matters both before administrative agencies and courts, and in disputes regarding regionalization and de-regionalization of school districts.

Jason earned his Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law, and his Bachelor’s Degree from the George Washington University.  Prior to entering private practice, he clerked for the Honorable Peter J. O’Brien in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas.

Jason is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York, as well as before the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
