Amelia G. Baker (“Mia”) is a member of the firm's Government and Regulatory Affairs practice group.  Mia’s primary area of practice is government relations, but she also provides support and counsel to the firm’s and clients’ other needs.  As a member of the Government and Regulatory Affairs practice group Mia advocates on behalf of clients on state legislative and regulatory matters throughout the country. 

Prior to joining the firm, Mia was a corporate and securities associate at a large international law firm.  She has represented issuers and underwriters in public offerings and private placements and has represented public and private companies, both as buyers and sellers, in merger and acquisition transactions.  Mia has also advised public companies in a wide variety of industries on Securities and Exchange Commission filings and regulatory requirements.

Mia earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from New York Law School in 2005 where she served as Associate Editor of the New York Law School Law Review.  Mia received her B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College in 2000.  She is admitted to the bars of New Jersey and New York.  Mia serves as a member of the Law Student Development Committee of the New York State Bar Association.
